About

“Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” – Antoine De Saint-Exupery

That quote drives everything I do in life, and is at the core of my design aesthetic. I see a chaotic world of more and more, where the clutter in designs never ends. The pervasive thought is that each message has to scream louder than the competitors. What once started out beautiful gets buried by losing it’s focus, losing sight of elementary design principals like visual hierarchy, and the use of white space.

I believe design can be beautiful without the excess. Design can transcend just getting attention, and can become art – something that will leave an impression on people. I believe that design can be stripped down and survive – even becoming stronger in the process.
